adelaide to the great ocean road

starting of the great ocean road

lol

THE BORDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nice vista after the desert

pelicans just before the great ocean road

the pink lake

after a very nice rest with my rescue team in Adelaide I kept going direction the Great Ocean Road . I didn't want to do it when I started in Darwin but I changed my mind on the way and because my rescue team ( during the track in the desert) told me it was very flat and I will have a tailwind, I thought:" ok let's go"
But actually it was the hardest part of all my trip, a strong sidewind, it was raining and it's very very hilly but it was beautiful and maybe it was hard but I will not complain at all. the most beautiful ride I did in 4000 km.
I'm just going to canberra and sydney now because I have to change my mind and to think about all I did...
so I will update my blog in a week with more details ....see you

quick news

just to tell you I'm still alice and i had a big trouble in the desert, I broke again my back wheel in the middle of nowhere I have had to wait 2 hours in the desert before to see a car coming, actually it was 3 4WD and they gave me a lift of 75 km, the closest place, a town with 8 peoples, William Creek. I left all my stuff and my bike too in the town and decided to go with my rescue team in Port Augusta because it was on their way to go back home, about 700 km from William Creek. I bought a new wheel and tonight I going to catch a bus to go to coober Pedy and after I will try to find a car who is going to William Creek, 180 km from Coober Pedy.

I will do 1500 km just to fix my bike, I don't have time to put pictures but in few days you will have plenty...

tomorrow I will continue the track in the desert....

see you soon

Alice pring to...

I left Alice Spring the 31 of august at 3 AM, I know it's in the middle of the night, I did 172 km this day and the day after and today I did 130 km and 161 km, so I drove 463 km in 3 days, That's impressive but I had a very very good tailwind and today, my average speed, excluding all my stopss was close to 26 km per hours for 18 ussually. I started at 8 AM and finished at 3:30 PM ( for the 2nd of september)
I'm sorry I can't put anyictures because it's a specific computer (the only one) in the roadhouse and the use is just for internet.

but in 2 days I will be at Cooper Pedy and I will be able to ost more pictures.

see you soon.

I should be in Alice spring in 5 days and I have have more time because I will take 2 days off.

day off at Mataranka

an italian met at Mataranka and myself swimming in the river....with crocodiles....

so good the thermal pools.
natural spring...33 c....amazing.
that's what I call a day off...I spent all the day with people met in the thermal pools swimming and have a nice time. ( a couple of italian, another from Melbourne and 3 german girls)

on my way until Mataranka

now I was on my way to go to Katherine and thinking It will be a nice place to have a rest a day, I stopped first at pine creek and the day after I was able to ride almost 100 km to reach Katherine. I didn't really enjoy this town even if I toke a bed in a backpackers, I had a very bad night. I met few frenchies. I woke up with the idea of doing just a ride of 60 km, a kind of rest. but after a rest on the side of the road where I met bill and his dog, he offered me a cup of coffee and I felt better I decided to continue my travel. I arrived to Mataranka very late , around 10 pm with my right knee very painful. Tomorrow I will have a rest in the village.
